I'm not a fan of disposable kitchen tools so I thought it would be very useful when I got it. It's a dynamo! It's sharp enough to effortlessly chop herbs and I've used it to chop a few other things in the kitchen as well. It worked beautifully with artichoke hearts and even sliced pizza with ease. The tool is larger than other herb grinders I've seen and feels good in the hand. Its handle allows you to chop easily and comfortably with both one and two hands. I found that I applied very light pressure and got very good results with what I sanded. It's well designed for a swinging motion and I'm not worried about cutting my fingers (like with a knife) cleaning the blade. I reach for it far more often than I expected and enjoy using it. .
