I have a Honda GXV 530 ride on mower. The starter was Denso 228000-9480. This starter carried a magnet and a starter that bolted on without modification. I looked everywhere for just one solenoid and there was only one starter and one solenoid. The Black Max GXV530 is my mower and it's working great now. Bought on 07/28/16, everything works. Thank you. My lawnmower would not start unless I connected the battery cable directly to the starter cable and didn't know it was the solenoid. A mower in my hometown of Fairview told me that HONDA didn't even make a self-propelled mower, so obviously it must be a great mower since the mechanic never saw one. in business for 25 years. Strong mowers. This starter is perfect for my Honda GXV530 self-propelled lawn mower and replaces the Denso 228000-9480 starter. check your numbers.
