This is a lengthy and tedious process and requires a special tool called the M8 Triple Square to remove the actual screws holding the door module in place. You'll also need a larger Phillips screwdriver, flat head, Torx T25 relatively long/thin, Torx T35 to remove the window glass and motor, and you'll probably want to buy new clips to trim the fairing. They will most likely break, but they are easy to replace. You need to be careful while working and carefully disconnect/reconnect everything. Pay special attention to how you insert and fasten the outer door cord. It should have its rounded side facing the front of the car and not be too tight on the handlebars. About halfway/center in the slot and adjust from there. Patience is key. Be careful not to break the triple squares. The only way to test the new module is to reconnect both the large window motor/module and this new module. If you try to test it without plugging it in, it won't work properly. Allow about an hour for this, or even two if you walk slowly. The good news is that this part is priced right, fits perfectly and works perfectly. In general very satisfied. You can't buy something used. Highly recommended.
