It's definitely worth it!
I installed these LED lights on my 2021 Tacoma Off-Road. I am very satisfied with the quality and light output. Installation was easy, plug-n-play and took less than 30 minutes. I believe they are very comparable to Toyota OEM bedside lamps and are less than half the price. In order for these to work on your truck, your truck must have rectangular black plastic covers on both sides of the body. As long as your truck has these covers, it comes pre-wired for installing a night light.
