. I was told about Amika by my stylist and decided to give it a try as I was desperate for a new shampoo for my fine, greasy hair. After using it for just over a week I have to say that it definitely thickens the hair which was one of my main goals in purchasing this product. It smells HEAVENLY and lathers really nicely in the shower, something I used to not be able to afford with shampoos. It seemed that with previous shampoos I had to use a lot of product just to work through each crack and I ran out of bottles way too quickly. Although that's not the point. However, I will say that an oily scalp does not contribute to longevity by reducing sebum production. When I bought it I wasn't sure if it was more for oilier scalps but thought it said 3D Volume and I'll definitely give it a try. Unfortunately, my hair can't be washed for a maximum of two days, but I think that will be the case with every shampoo I can find. If you prefer a more normal oily scalp, give it a try. If you have a very oily scalp, I would recommend not using it.
