I was very optimistic based on the reviews I read but unfortunately it didn't live up to expectations. It couldn't even pierce very thin skin - it would have left a crater compared to punching a clean hole even if I had used considerable force to hold the tool and rotate it etc. I had to punch the holes with an awl and needle to clean. . I'll go back and order another, but for now I'm reverting to traditional dashes. I may have received a defective item, but if I were you. Don't buy ads for "German design".
