This kit contains everything you need to knit a scarf for Hogwarts. The little balls of yarn are nice and small, so you can slip the project in your purse without having ALL of the yarn with you. It had yarn, a booklet with instructions in multiple languages and pictures of finished scarves for reference, 3.5mm/US 4 plastic needles, a needle for weaving ends, a Gryffindor house patch, and everything was beautifully packaged a cardboard box with magical "newspaper" encasing the contents. It was like opening a gift. My only complaint was that the plastic needles grabbed the acrylic yarn too much and made it a little sticky when knitting. After knitting a colored/striped block, I switched to custom aluminum needles which speeded things up a bit. All in all, this is a great set for the Potter fan who loves to knit! I would buy more from other Hogwarts houses to give away.
