Won't stay up or go down smoothly

This jack was difficult to lower from day one. It seems that when turning the steering wheel, the wheel gets stuck. If you try to lower the car and the wheel gets stuck, you have to turn the handle harder, which will lower the car too quickly. Tried lubricating but nothing changed. (See image.) After about 8 uses, the jack would not stay up. You lift it and it lowers itself, with or without a load on it. (See video) I ended up buying another jack because I know I had more confidence in this jack.
