They are perfect for my purposes. I use them as bed sheets to protect my workspace while casting resin and when working with alcohol based inks and resin based dyes. I didn't see anything through her. I like that they're thin so you're not working on a raised surface like a thick carpet. I also like that you can trim them. I cut one off to fit in a large pot which I use with no problem. The edges are stable without fraying or the like. I'm updating my review because I found something I REALLY don't like about these sheets. I've used it as a non-stick surface on some resin projects and the problem is that the surface isn't glossy-smooth, it has a microgrid-like texture that leaves an imprint on the clear resin cast (!). Since the sheets were smooth, I didn't realize that texture existed. I'm adding this to my review in case anyone else wants to use it for specific types of polymer work. As for the non-stick part, it released a thin layer of resin, which I did well. So if you don't mind hand-fixing the backing with another layer of resin, these non-stick sheets will do the job.
