I've tried several hubs that should look like extensions of your MacBook. This one is the best of them all. I like the layout of the SD/microSD card readers, which face you when the hub is connected to the left side of the MacBook. I also like Gigabit Ethernet and it makes my video conference calls more stable and reliable. The only downside to this hub is that the USB-A ports are reversed when installed on the left side of the MacBook. This makes it difficult to use my USB security key as the touch button is facing down. I use my MFA security key for all services that support it, so this has affected my daily workflow. Placing the hub on the right side doesn't work either, as there isn't enough clearance for the ethernet port unless you're propping up the MacBook.
