Review on πŸ”§ Efficient Round Over Edging Router Bit for Smooth Finishes by Matthias Foxx

Revainrating 3 out of 5

You get what you pay for.

You get what you pay for but let me have that said. For the last 3 decades I have worked as a woodworker and have used different router bits of different quality. Yonico bits are mid to low end bits that will do what you need to do if you are careful and patient with them. These aren't top beats that leave a much smoother edge, but you'll have to pay at least twice as much to get this level of quality. I needed a drill to round the corners of a white ash ceiling chest, and knowing I'd still have to hand sand, Yonico did what I needed. Anyone who has worked with white ash knows how easily it breaks under the weight of a router unless you are patient and understand when to "work backwards". By making a few shallow cuts I avoided chipping and ended up with a decent enough edge that just needed a little sanding. If it was a more complex design than a rounded chisel I would probably spend the money on a better chisel and skip the Yonico. As it was a simple rounded tip I had no problem using this tip with the full expectation that some touch up with sandpaper would need to be done to complete the process.
