Review on 🐾 The Company of Animals Clix Carsafe: Ensuring In-Car Safety for Dogs by Kayla Mccants

Bought this for my 18lb mini Aussie but had to return it. It fits his body well, but the strap is too short for him to sit in the seat when the strap is attached to the seat belt. Even if it were a little longer, there's still not much wiggle room. It would be difficult for the dog to change position much. The quality is just great but this fits a much smaller dog than mine. There are a few things that make this item less than ideal: 1. The part that goes over the dog's head is not adjustable. I have just approached my mini Aussie but would not approach a dog much larger. 2. I really liked that the straps that go under the stomach are adjustable and both have snap buckles. You don't have to put your feet through the holes. BUT 3. The plastic buckles are difficult for me to maneuver as my right hand is a bit stiff. The buckles aren't as big, which increases the "zipping" time. I also had problems with my dog's long hair getting caught in the buckle. That only annoyed him more. 4. I ended up buying a Kong pendant that was on sale. The buckles are metal and larger - they are really easy to fasten. I bought a small one, not a very small one. This extra room made my dog much more comfortable. The neck part is adjustable, which is very important for me. In addition, the Kong has a loop that attaches to the seat belt webbing, giving it much more freedom of movement (safely) in the seat. The Clix harness is much stiffer simply because it attaches to the harness buckle. In summary, I think I would recommend this product (at xs) for a small dog. Plastic buckles may not be a problem for a short haired dog and an owner with more toe dexterity. As a supplement, this is indeed a great buy. Perhaps the MECO™ Pet Dog Belt Car Automotive Seat Safety Extension (Red) will make this purchase even more profitable.
