These were great gloves and I wish I could like them better but they didn't fit me in the long run. I used them as everyday gloves in temperatures from 20 to 40 degrees, especially when cycling. They were just enough for light insulation and wind protection, offered great dexterity and worked great on my smartphone screen. They are not designed for real winter gloves and that is consistent with my experience. They get a bit wet in the rain or play in the snow, and they don't have enough insulation for temperatures below 20 degrees. They can also be good glove liners for heavy winter gloves. The rubber grips on the palm and fingertips were brittle, and my bike grips have worn through most. Also, they have worked well for me day in and day out. I then used them as my lightweight gloves for a relatively warm 3 day mountaineering adventure and something (maybe I was carrying an ice ax, maybe I was crawling in the snow, maybe my backpack straps) had fingertip holes in them. Outdoor Research gave me a guaranteed return and a full refund with a gift card. I'm tempted to swap them out for the same gloves as I don't usually work with them as hard as I do mountaineering, but I'll check other options first.
