I purchased and installed Dorman TPMS sensors (at Costco). In less than 4 months one of them failed. The installer used the TPMS diagnostic tool to determine if the battery was low. (Previous TPMS batteries lasted over 10 years.) Yes, there is an escalation process, but consider multiple shipping fees, multiple installation fees, and wasted days chasing an item that fails prematurely at the worst possible time. And I'm not done hunting yet. Should I now replace all Dorman sensors or just one? Tip: If you buy TPMS parts online, ask the installer to scan them with the TPMS diagnostic tool prior to installation. Make sure returns are free with no restocking fees. Insist on knowing the date of manufacture of the TPMS sensor.
