I bought this alarm just as a cheap backup for my Gaurdline one that keeps getting moisure in it and giving false alarms. I figured at 13 bucks it wouldn't be great but I'd try it. Lemme say, this was the best purchase I could've made.Straight from the box I could already tell it was designed smarter. With others, there is a backing for the batteries but it opens up completely in half. Which leaves a space for rain or moisture to get in.This one is completely sealed up on the top and, the cover that comes with it, goes around the whole back to the top and over the lens to protect everything. The mounting bracket is strong and easy to adjust.I bought this in July- its now almost December and I haven't had any issues with false alarms or missing alarms. It works perfectly. And for this price, even if it only lasts a year it's still worth it.
