This poncho was purchased for my 7 year old son for a trip to Disney World. He was very big on it. The size wasn't an issue though as it was strong enough for us to use again and allowed some growth into it. I will put it this way, if you are a small adult (5ft 3in or less) you can buy a baby poncho instead of an adult poncho. It almost reached my child's ankles and he is about 49 inches tall.
