You need the sun, son. - Solar and Wind Energy

One of the cameras I wanted to use it with is mounted on a large oak tree and the only separate place to install a solar charger is on an oak tree . The problem with that in the summer is that the tree has these damn leaves. Although ambient light penetrates and the camera indicates that it is charging, the charging speed was insufficient and the camera's battery level was slowly draining. However, I've trimmed a few branches and although the light is still scattered a bit, the charge is slowly increasing. Please note that before I placed the solar panel on the tree, I tested it from the tree in bright sunlight and charged it quickly there. The bottom line is that they need as much sun as you can get them to charge. Even when the light is bright (like around my tree) direct sun is needed. For those of you tempted to say yes, please just say so to yourself. The only thing I don't like, although almost all panels of this type, is that the cable is not disconnected and replaced with another can. one the right length. I understand that they are made to ensure the tightness of the connection. However, I only need about 3 feet of cord to hide it. Also, I'm sure there are those who would like a longer cable. The bracket is also a little flimsy and uncomfortable. Otherwise, I'm happy and they're a lot cheaper than the Arlo versions.
