You probably need it, even if you don't think so. We recently got 2 new cars in our house. The old ones used much less torque at 65 and 75 ft-lbs. Never broken rivets. When we got our new cars which rated 90 ft lbs I figured a wheel stud would be more likely to break so I bought this after reading so many positive reviews. After 2 weeks the wheel bolt burst for the first time. The Lisle Stud installer came to the rescue. To some, $17+ might seem like a lot for a piece of round metal. This is a two-piece precision instrument that must rotate freely under heavy pressure. Quality bearings run smoothly and flawlessly. Made the job EASY. I've seen videos on YouTube where people just use an oversized nut. I will use this tool every time and consider my $17.50 well spent.
