Makes hairpins in one go.

Slightly extended wheel bolts. No more chewing nuts with the washer method and potential hub/wheel bearing damage. Do not take any risks. Buy it and get it done in seconds.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Almost everything ok

Tool for installing wheel bolts.

The tool was fantastic. I used a washer underneath because there was only a tiny bit sticking out of the bolt, forcing me to pry it off with a screwdriver. I was afraid that I might damage the instrument but it is very durable. I don't remember reading that it has bearings and rotations. It's a handy tool and I'm missing another one to take with me when I'm off-road. I used it on a 2007 Jeep JK. The wheel studs were 1/2โ€-20. Worked better than a bunch of pucks. I highly recommend.

Pros
  • One year test
Cons
  • Doubt

This seems like a much better solution

I needed to replace a wheel stud on my Subaru. I've read a lot of DIY tutorials where people use washers, sockets, etc. This seems like a much better solution. The cone aligns tool, bolt and clamping nut. The bearing rotates, eliminating the torque required to overcome friction. It's the right size for my BRZ (no problem fitting the hub, not too thick, not too thin). I suspect this tool will serve me well for years to come as I won't be using it much. It's not "cheap" like washers, but I'mโ€ฆ

  • Great design

Error mid-install of wheel studs

Worked great on the first set of wheel bolts but on the second set when I installed the second set of wheel bolts they just fell apart on my third bolts because I was just pulling them off the wheel have. So a few bearing balls fell out and of course I can't use the bolt driver anymore as the bearing balls now have a bunch of dirt in them from falling on the dirt. The seller offered a replacement but I would have to order another one of these, possibly also an unreliable product, and wait aโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

The right tool for the job

I thought about spending money on this tool but I'm so glad I did. $1 per lag was worth it. If you're just replacing one stud, you can get away with other methods. If you make more than one wheel, buy this tool. I've had great luck with Lisle tools in the past. It was no different. I installed long eyelets for wheel spacers. This tool quickly processes 20 studs. Really well done. The built in bearing ensures smooth, friction free movement and you know the eyelet is fully seated. You can't getโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Clarity

Bolt Repair Tool!

Some jack at the tire shop twisted the nuts on my wife's car. I didn't find out until I fixed her flat tire. Two rivets just broke off. After removing the caliper and rotor I had access to the studs. The hardest part was finding the exact spot to remove and replace the bolt. I sprayed the broken bolt with penetrating grease and knocked it out with a hammer. Apply a drop of oil to the splines of the new bolt. I just planted it in the hole with a hammer and punch. Mount the Lisle tool to the bolt

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Not sure

Perfect, simple, efficient and user-friendly design.

You probably need it, even if you don't think so. We recently got 2 new cars in our house. The old ones used much less torque at 65 and 75 ft-lbs. Never broken rivets. When we got our new cars which rated 90 ft lbs I figured a wheel stud would be more likely to break so I bought this after reading so many positive reviews. After 2 weeks the wheel bolt burst for the first time. The Lisle Stud installer came to the rescue. To some, $17+ might seem like a lot for a piece of round metal. This is aโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Dear

Works very well with acorn nuts

A picture of this wheel bolt installer is not real. What is not visible in the picture is that there is a race on the back to reduce friction during installation. I used this tool to replace wheel studs on a 2002 Lexus IS300. The process was pretty simple: remove the caliper assembly and rotor. Then tap out the existing wheel studs with a hammer. Finally, install the new wheel studs, I have doorman, using this tool and an impact wrench until the new studs are seated on the hub. Overall the jobโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Unbelievable price
