Disappointing product

I bought this fin 4 months ago and based my purchase on reviews of this product. I have used them with a float on five different fishing trips. They seemed to work quite well on my first trip, but have become increasingly disappointing on subsequent trips. The straps, which are typical cheap plastic clips, began to loosen during use. I almost lost a fin the first time (they don't swim of course) and I was lucky enough to catch it before the sake went to the bottom of the lake. Last week (my fifth and final ride with these fins) they got detached 5 times because the rubber bands wouldn't come out of the plastic clips. Constantly worrying about the fins coming off is no fun. At the end of the day, returning from the other side of the lake, I felt the strap come loose and rather they tried to reattach it (again!). I hobbled one flipper to shore. When I pressed the brackets on the remaining fin, one of them broke. These fins are not well suited for float tube fishing. The rubber stretches with use to the point of becoming unusable and the plastic clips snap easily but aren't strong enough to last more than a few uses. They may be sufficient for snorkeling but are NOT suitable for float fishermen. If I could return them now, I would. Unfortunately, the return period often does not take into account the actual use of the goods and the dissatisfaction of the buyer. Don't waste your money or valuable fishing time on this disappointing product.
