I bought 500 of these nails. I've been looking for 2 inch hot dip nails for fence projects for a while. The 2" is perfect for 2x4 flat boards (actually 1 1/2") and standard 1x6 fence boards (actually 5/8") (cedar or redwood). Anything longer than 2" leaves a small Point sticking out 2x4. You are perfect. Even after driving many of these nails in, I've had very few problems. Use bright orange hard plastic to line up the nails. Almost every other nail that's been set flush has a bright orange plastic remnant sticking out around the head. Some are easy to scrape off with a fingernail, but most of the time it's stuck under the nail. Head and removal takes a few seconds, and maybe even sharp pliers. Take that number of nails you hammer in and pull the rest brightly orange plastic I wish they had used a different plastic like my larger frame nails from other companies which are both clear and plastic.
