is ok, but dissapointed in brightness and instructions

So, this clock is fine, but I am disappointed in the available brightness. I am using in a family room cabinet and it is quite dim in that environment. It would be fine for a bedroom with lights outs. Also, unseal and complicated controls. I have had multiple digital clocks, and usually it is a no brainer to set the time, etc. But for some reason this manufacturer has compressed multiple functions into one/two buttons and it is not at all intuitive. You actually have to use the instructions to set the time which I find unusual for this type of product.
