My son was referred for physical therapy at 9 months because he couldn't crawl and only walked on all fours for a few minutes. The therapist had this toy in his practice - it encourages children to get on all fours and strengthens the muscles of the upper back. I bought it for my son, he liked it and in a week he started crawling. Now, of course, I can't give the toy credit for helping my son learn to crawl, but I think it definitely did. If you're unsure about choosing this product, know that your child will have unexpected therapeutic benefits when they need it. I also like that this toy is not too sensitive. By that I mean it doesn't ignite easily - which is why many of my son's light and sound toys turn on when you get too close to him. Makes me mad. This toy does not sing, speak or light up until the wheel spins. Overall a great product.
