Not ideal, but I like it so far :)

I have been using this type of cooker for over 10 years (Flavor Wave/NuWave) and am a big fan of them because they cook faster and use less energy. My previous purchases have been the NuWave style with huge plastic domes and I complain that the domes crack and break within a year or two which is frustrating as they are a bit pricey. This item is about the same size and I have already used it to reheat a giant ham (using the extension ring). This piece uses glass for a small top and a huge bottom, meaning no plastic can crack or break, and it's about half the price of other devices. My main thoughts on this device are as follows. The price is half that of the other model, and glass versus plastic. I expect both appliances to cook about the same - so it's a purge. NuWave cooktops are better for food access because the large dome pops up and your food is right there. With this small-lid brand, your food is still in the large glass base, making access difficult. Another thing that bothered me is that the NuWave records have a nice little stand for their huge dome and this item has nothing to support the top of it. My BIG concern with this is that the VERY HOT heating element in the lid is about 1 inch from the surface you're placing the lid on (in other words, it could damage your table tops). In my case, I have a stove with a glass lid, so the lid should be fine. Small update after longer use: The grates of the grates are too far apart for small items such as chips. I think the mention is that you can stack a rack on top of each other to make a rack, but that means you can only cook one layer of food. The bars are spaced about 7/8 inches apart, meaning there's little to stop the Tator Babies from slipping through without forming your web with both posts. This problem can be solved if the company probably spends pennies on materials. In my case I have a broken stack of different racks from previous ovens and I have a few that fit this oven (in fact they fit better than the ones that came with this unit).

Cons
