Best oven of all time: Ovens and toasters

I bought my first infrared oven in 1998 while traveling. It fits perfectly in my regular oven when traveling. The new digital version looks better than my old one. It's been years since I've used an oven in my stove. This infrared halogen oven cooks almost anything. Last year I cooked a 12 pound turkey in it. This is one kitchen item I can't live without. Mine lasted about 6-7 years.

Pros
  • Wide range
Cons
  • A few little things

Not long. for ovens and toasters

Took a month and 4 days, made wings and ribs, lights out, done. No power, he's just dead. Hope it's a breaker. But the boy did when we used it. Boiled fried mushrooms without oil, got rid of the oil in cups that we didn't eat because of the dry heat. Too bad it only lasted a little over a month. Was a gift to my wife. She liked it, the 3-day guarantee ended on January 31st. Next time you need to find a good manufacturer. Update the date, what went wrong is a transformer, not a lightbulb like I…

Great halogen oven for the money. As well as digital control.

Excellent digitally controlled halogen oven. Much better than my old unit's old manual timer and temperature knobs. The only downside to these products is the very cheap, lightweight wire grills that come with the halogen grill. I found a heavy duty 11 inch diameter stainless steel cooking/cooling grid on the Revain. It is branded "Fivebop" and costs $19. It fits perfectly in the bottom of a large glass bowl without leaving big gaps around the edges like the grates that come with the…

Works well with the inverter in the truck.

Cooks well. It's bright. As bright as a halogen light on a construction site. And it doesn't need a 3000 watt inverter, you need at least a good 2000 watt inverter. Very simple robust design and silent. No circuits that require a pure sine wave inverter. Just a hot lightbulb, I mean a hot, hot stove. You will get burned if you touch the metal grill after turning it on after 1 or 2 seconds. The only weakest is the TOP GLASS. The shell can withstand a fall. This thick, high quality glass weighs…

Decent four stars, but definitely an economy model.

A few years ago I had a microwave/convection/spit combo that could cook almost anything. Meat, vegetables, even cookies. Unfortunately, that particular oven is no longer made, and the next similar microwave is well beyond my budget. . I'm very glad I did. I'm sure it won't last as long as other brands, but it seems to have the best balance of features and price. So far I've prepared veggies, frozen pizzas, and a variety of meats (from chicken fingers, breaded fish fillets, and 3-pound…

Not ideal, but I like it so far :)

I have been using this type of cooker for over 10 years (Flavor Wave/NuWave) and am a big fan of them because they cook faster and use less energy. My previous purchases have been the NuWave style with huge plastic domes and I complain that the domes crack and break within a year or two which is frustrating as they are a bit pricey. This item is about the same size and I have already used it to reheat a giant ham (using the extension ring). This piece uses glass for a small top and a huge…

  • There are other interesting options.
