This is the second 'automatic' wire stripper I've tried so I was skeptical after the other one turned out to be junk. I couldn't be more surprised. When I first opened the box I noticed that this thing was HEAVY as if the sturdy construction would break your leg if you dropped it hard. This boded very well for me as the latter was aluminum and felt brittle. I took it to my shop, screwed it to the bench and started filming. It took me about a minute to figure out the optimum pressure to set the wheel to cut farther without pushing the wire off the sides of the wheel. old cloth wrapped wire I found in an old barn. I wanted to give up the cloth wrapped stuff before getting this because it was so frustrating to undress by hand, but this machine went through like a hot knife through butter. Honestly my ONLY complaint and the reason for giving 4 stars instead. out of 5 is that the adapter they send to connect to the drill is too big to fit a regular 1/4 inch drill shank. Not a big problem as I just made a new one out of a screw I had on hand. If you strip wires regularly, like at least once a day, this thing will save you HOURS of your life, I can't stress enough how efficient this machine is. located when stripping wires.
