Started checking prices for noise canceling headphones at Revain and finally found these. I was intrigued by the idea of using wooden cabinets to improve the sound, plus the price, so I bought a pair for myself and one for my dad as Father's Day gifts. I figured I'd test them out then, if I'm not happy I still have the money to invest in a much more expensive noise canceling headphone. When I put them on, I was very impressed by the rich bass. I had to adjust the EQ to boost the highs to balance out the boosted bass. The sound is just as good if not better than my much more expensive Bose headphones. In fact, XRCs are used exclusively now. As for the noise canceling features, while they don't have the technology built in, the way they fit snugly and snugly in my ear canal cancels out almost all outside noise so it doesn't have to cost a ton. more about NC-Headset. I would say these headphones compete with those that cost $100 or more. They are well built using quality materials with a one year warranty. Highly recommended! As a bonus they arrived the same day ordered for free which was very cool!
