S2000 - not much better than AP2 pads

For road S2000's these pads are not much better in terms of bite and feel compared to OEM AP2 pads. I bought them hoping for a better bite but I was disappointed. Now I have over 1,000 local miles (not freeway miles), I drove it twice before coming to this conclusion. For 1. Same bite as AP2 OEM pads (outdoors at least)2. Mostly quiet, not much noise when stacked properly. Cons: 1. Same bite as AP2 OEM (outdoors at least), no improvement.2. Advertised as dust similar to OEM pads, dammit. 4 times more dusty than AP2 OEM pads, the dust is also black. If you have non-CR OEM rims, they'll look like dark gunmetal in less than 100 miles. I literally had to wipe them off after every ride. Gives the same pedal feel as the OEM AP2 pads. I was expecting a sharper, more distinct bite feel, but no, they give a very similar bite feel, they don't give a full bite until you really step on the brake pedal. The pads were not perfectly tailored to the caliper. The front pads need a bit of filing to slide into the caliper, otherwise I have to pound them really hard. I don't track, so can't comment on track performance, but for road riding just stick with the OEM AP2 pads, they're cheaper too.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
