This is amazing! They create a hole in the extruded clay. This makes it easier to make uniform tube beads and pen caps. It is also excellent for preserving. I extrude whatever color I want for the outside of the bullseye or two-tone circle. Then I carefully trimmed one side, added length and inserted an extruded circle of a different color, with our different colors intertwined. Then I close it again making sure the inside edges meet and I have the clay cylinder ready to be inserted into the reed and the tube is the same size which helps me to make a neater sheet. The parts are stronger than disks and fit into both My Makings extruders.
