
My good old Shimano brake pads are outdated. But I'm joking. Wanted to see what the hype was about remanufactured brake pads and the Swiss Stop seemed like a popular option and damn they're Swiss, aren't they?!? ha ha. so it should be good. In short, excellent modulation and braking power that can be felt from Shimano. Shimmies are a bit stiffer in comparison to them and they slide a bit before stopping, they compress well and stop quickly. Not a bad upgrade for the price. The only downside was that the installation wasn't very smooth, you had to use the shoehorn with some force to get it all the way into the slot. It goes almost all the way in, but the last half inch or so it stops, so I had to use pliers to get it out. I'm looking forward to trying them in wet conditions and everyone seems to think they can do it - I hope so.
