Very easy to use such as a vacuum cleaner , sucks great after pressing the "button" a few times to start the siphon - great for partial water changes, great for gravel vacuuming, especially when using a scraper (discovered this after finding out the scraper didn't work for that Scratching the glass doesn't work that well) because the scraper actually helped prevent small pebbles from being sucked up when vacuuming. I would have preferred a tip with a smaller bore that was a bit smaller as that would help avoid sucking up fine gravel. have a perfectly straight edge to clean as effectively as I would like (I had a few SMALL little chips, they are so small I didn't notice until I tried to clean the glass, it skipped a lot of spots , isn't it? not scratching evenly as the edge was a bit jagged, it took more work to clean the glass completely, so I only use it for gravel vacuuming instead of the tip with the small gravel hole because the gravel is too light when using sucks up the little hole at the top) and as the scraper head is plastic it cannot be sharpened nor is there any other substitute to attach the scraper head (maybe like a rubber piece for just soft slime on glass). But I still use this vacuum regularly (I just have another glass scraper) because it picks up gravel and loose debris really well on partial water changes - I'd rate it 3.5 stars if I could. . If the scraper tip worked better on glass and the small hole tip was a bit smaller to prevent sucking up fine gravel I would rate it 5 stars.
