I always bought the cheapest thread because I figured there shouldn't be that much difference between different brands. Especially when it comes to PLA. Turns out I was wrong. I thought I could deal with the occasional clogged nozzle or brittle filament from not using it for too long, but this Superfila PLA filament presents a problem I cannot accept - shrinkage. This thread shrinks in the X and Y axis, so the final dimensions of the printed parts will not match the design, meaning the parts must match. will not. It's not a big problem if I'm just printing geckos and vases, but it's a big problem if I'm designing custom pieces for use around the house. The tablet holders wouldn't fit the tablet, the screw holes would be smaller than the intended screw etc. Also, shrinkage will cause the part to detach from the build bed, even if the build bed is heated to 60C Experience with cheap threads on Revain , this is not one of them.
