I bought these for a rug that I use in the kitchen and another smaller rug that I use in front of the kitchen sink. My young children are constantly running around the house taking their rugs with them so I was hoping they would help keep the rugs in place. They worked great for the first few days and really held the mats in place. But if you take the rug, it won't hold up so well when you put it back on. I have to sweep under rugs and I try to wash them at least once a month so I have to move them around and that use isn't ideal for these handles. I have a feeling they are meant to be set up and stored there, not picked up. And you can't take the carpet handles to wash the carpet. They don't stick to the carpet at all once removed. I would recommend if you have a rug that you don't want to move or throw in the washing machine, but if you have to move the rug often they just don't work and are too expensive to replace every time. You need to move or wash the carpet.
