Review on ☕ Hamilton Beach 46899A: Programmable 10-Cup Thermal Coffee Maker with Cone Filter & Flexible Brewing - Stainless Steel by Dawn Belanger

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Easy to use! Not hot enough.

Update: I returned it and got Bunn Heat and Brew. I had an old Hamilton Beach coffee maker that didn't use a glass carafe but brewed in a plastic cup holder. I've had this for years and it has worked great. It didn't work when I turned it on from time to time. I knew I needed a stainless steel carafe this time. I wanted easy to use as I love coffee but am not a coffee connoisseur. It has three settings and I like the bold font. The timer is easy to use. The only thing I don't like is that when you use the programmer the coffee doesn't stay hot until you heat the carafe before using it. Maybe three hours is hot. If preheated, then one to two hours longer. Doesn't brew as hot as my other coffee maker. I still think it's a good buy and easy to use. UPDATE: I just can't get my coffee hot enough. I preheated a pot of hot water, used the warm water to brew, turned the brewer back on, and hoped the warmer plate would heat the pot again. No, not hot enough. One problem may be that there is a hole in the top of the coffee pot for brewing coffee. You cannot close these after brewing. This can be an issue, but it's not hot enough right after brewing. It is very difficult to read dozens of reviews about coffee pots and find a decent one that does not have a single flaw. "Sigh".
