Very disappointing with the stability of the router, the cause remains to be seen, but the router drops below 1Mbps after a few hours of use and sometimes recovers (both wireless and wired speeds). I only tried this setup as a hotspot as I really needed that. This was the same behavior after upgrading the ASUS firmware to the latest ASUSwrt and replacing the OEM thermal pads with a larger area of more efficient thermal pads. The current workaround for some reason is to use Smart Connect. around 68Β°C-70Β°C (seen after installing ASUSwrt), at the time I wasn't sure if it was related to the issue, but using a small laptop fan reduces the temperature to 55Β°C- 58Β°C at a room temperature of 23Β°C-26Β°C. I leave the fan in place as I'd rather it not run as hard. Edit, going back to my quad core imo rt-ac1300 is better than dual core even if you don't get the AI mesh anymore.
