For $20, don't expect much from this tripod. At this price, you know exactly what you're getting. This is a cheap tripod that feels cheap but does the trick in a pinch. However, if you have the money and want to use a tripod on a regular basis, I highly recommend saving up (around $100) for a device with better build quality. I use this for indoor recording/video with my iPhone so no big deal. I don't add much weight or weight to this unit, and I have no problem with the foldable legs, which are attached with plastic hardware. The biggest problem with a tripod is that pitch and roll are terrible. Java seems fine. I can easily move the camera left and right. The vertical elevation grip works well too. The horizontal tilt is terrible (roll). It's very tight and there's no way to adjust it. If you film something and try to move the loops, you'll get choppy video and twitching because the connections are so tight. The side handle is not interchangeable and appears to be left-handed. The hinge distance (vertical angle) is 90 degrees of freedom. When used with the handle on the left, you can point the camera straight ahead and adjust the position so that the camera is pointing straight down at the ground. All in all I'm generous with 3 stars because of the cheap price. If you need something flexible and will be using it for serious purposes, don't buy this tripod. If you're just messing around and making YouTube videos then that's fine, but heed my warnings about bad tilt. The joints are not ball-bearing. The best tripod in the same price range is the Sunpak 620-080 tripod.
