This machine is reliable, high quality and has exceeded all expectations. One small issue that isn't a problem unless you're in a hurry - the little plastic handle you screw onto the machine's handle falls apart. However, after the purchase is confirmed, the seller sends a second email stating that this is a known issue and that they will ship a replacement metal within about 7 days (or sooner if it arrives). I didn't care as it was purchased for use in a concession stand to raise funds for sporting events. I used the metal connector part of a broken plastic screw and easily made a permanent screw end for a drill. In the first week of use he rolled over 60 pounds of potatoes (actually 40 pounds the first night after delivery and another 20 pounds the next night). Still runs smooth as silk and looks like new. Excellent quality as stainless steel makes up every part except for a few tiny bits of plastic. Blade changing is easy, just slide in and out. We also do NOT use skewers and I see no use for them other than for a specific application that requires skewers. After all, cleaning is done in seconds. MUCH exceeded my expectations and we have just purchased another exactly the same item. It's not often that something impresses me, but for the price, you really can't beat this tool. A truly commercial product at home use prices that can handle volume and is easy to maintain - I think the best compliment I can give is that in less than a week we're buying another one and a friend a photo from the box because he wants you home! Plus as a bonus - "leftovers" are just plain fun and funny - we made them too!
