More like ifail than ibobber

Watched several YouTube videos recommending this ibobber based on price compared to other more expensive products. Out of the box I charged it for a good hour then put it in a small well when I plugged it into my phone and it read the sheet below like it was two fish. Then I took it to a small lake and cast the float out to a maximum of 50-60 feet. After mixed results and reporting "poor sonar signal" and using it for a maximum of 30 minutes, the phone lost connection. back to the same lake to try again. This time the ibobber kept going the whole hour I was fishing but kept telling me I had a "bad sonar signal". Pros: The device only lost signal on my phone when the battery died. Cons: The unit never worked properly and gave me a weak sonar signal even when I was less than 2 feet deep. Weird: It was supposed to come with two snap-on swivels for easy on and off, and it wasn't there. I'm wondering if I received a defective return.

Pros
  • App features for logging trips and locations, weather and lunar calendar available without iBobber hardware
Cons
  • Power socket required
