Inexpensive update for beginners as soon as possible
The price is good for a start. There are no brackets even on what I have. I had to apply extra skin to clamp better. There are no instructions, but it's easy to figure out how to use it. I don't see how this can be considered desktop usage. You need to sit down and put a long piece of wood under your leg to hold it in place. I would suggest taking some felt or soft leather and putting it on top of the clamp piece so it doesn't scratch your work.
