These are not bright enough to be a real light source for reading, entertaining, etc but are a nice compliment in the background.
The light spread is mostly downward and horizontal rather than upwards (the light element is downward facing in the cap) so placing on the ground and/or near a wall is best. They are very lightweight but ours just survived 30mph wind gusts without blowing over - perhaps due to the porous design.
- If windy out, they need to be brought inside because they will be blown over.
- Not versatile enough for different uses
