I have the A6200 for use with my netbook and with a Netgear R6300 router. I had a steady and flat download speed of about 30Mbps from my netbook with the A6200, but my built-in adapter downloaded at about 45Mbps. Also, the R6300's 45Mbps download speed is faster than my old router. I wrote a review of the R6300 router here and Netgear engineers contacted us to work on this issue and I think they are still working on it. After doing test after test, I came to the conclusion that there is no problem with the A6200 or R6300 router. I connected the A6200 to my quad core computer and gave it a try. The download speed on my desktop was 80 Mbps, which is equivalent to a 1 Gbps wired ethernet connection. Conclusion: The problem is with my netbook and the USB connection and possibly with the speed of my netbook. This A6200 adapter and R6300 router combo works as fast as a wired connection in 5GHz AC mode, as my desktop did just that. As far as I know, it's impossible to get a faster connection than a wired ethernet connection, and the comparison to WiFi is incredible. Just consider using this as more drivers are coming out like they were when the Wireless N first came out. The speed is already unheard of. And what has to be said about the development of Netgear: They have continued to work on it and are still asking for information, although the problem is not the Netgear hardware or software. I think what you call "higher and higher". Simply outstanding.
