I got this to use with a 5 gallon no spill gas bottle. The spout on the gas cylinder makes refueling some vehicles difficult. I installed one of these and it solved this problem. The downside is that there's nothing to hold it in place other than friction. This friction can change with temperature. I used this to fill an ATV that has a fairly wide fill hole. I hit the spout at the filler hole and the thing slipped and fell into the gas tank. I tried very hard to catch it. On the other hand, it still worked fine after soaking in gasoline for a few days. But now it's tied to the gas tank with a piece of paracord.
