This water filter system is ideal for renters. There are undercounter reverse osmosis systems that require a plumber, but few countertop options. Based on some cursory research, this has proven to be efficient and economical to maintain. It seems to work well, but a star deduction for the chunky design: (1) the lid of the filtered water tank should have a hinge (like the waste water tank) to easily add mineral drops, (2) the bottom of the filtered water tank should be on be positioned at an angle so that it can drain completely through the sink, and (3) the handle on the waste container must be on the outside so that the lid can hold the water down the sink after refilling.
