Kit works well enough, nice to not need a bonnet stay anymore. On my CRV it doesn't raise the hood when you release the latch but stays in place when you raise it manually, which is fine with me. Although other models are likely to be different. The instructions are very general and don't tell you exactly which bracket hole to put the screw through, you'll have to experiment. These shock absorbers are made of brittle metal, so make sure they are properly folded and bolted into place before closing the hood.
