Review on 🚀 Dynomax Ultra Flo 17263 Performance Exhaust Muffler by Dave Hunt

I installed this in my 2012 Jeep Wrangler JK 2 door. I replaced the resonator with this muffler and completely removed the stock OEM muffler. The goal was to improve the sound by removing the heavy, unsightly rear muffler. I left the exhaust pipe that originally connected to the rear muffler and attached it to the Dynomax muffler. This allowed the exhaust to flow over the rear axle and then exit just ahead of the rear bumper while remaining tucked high and to the side. There is only room for this silencer on two doors. If you've got a four-door, there's enough room to even add an extra resonator if you want to muffle the sound a bit. I have the feeling that the sound is much better, especially when starting and at low revs. There's a comfortable buzz without being too loud. My opinion may be a bit skewed because prior to the installation I drove the jeep for a week with just the muffler removed and it was terribly noisy. My wife still finds it a bit noisy. I think what impressed me the most is that while it rumbles on launch and in low gears, it's not particularly noticeable at highway speeds. I drove without a top or doors for a week and had no "hum" noise at high speeds even without the resonator. I had this muffler welded on at my local muffler shop and the guys there loved it. They said it was the best JK sound they had ever heard. After driving it for about a week and comparing it to other Jeeps, I had to agree. I get a huge smile on my face every time I walk it.
