Review on 🔌 MikroTik hEX PoE RB960PGS 5-Port Gigabit Ethernet Router Board by Ryan Springer

This is a great little router that is an incredible value. MikroTik devices are not for beginners and definitely require a solid understanding of networking principles. RouterOS features are incredibly advanced, and I don't know of any other device in this price range that actually offers the same enterprise-class features that are available in it. Unfortunately I had to send mine back as it didn't have the power to handle a symmetrical gigabit WAN connection - I'm getting close to the 600/600 with this unit. But more importantly for my needs, it lacks the processing required for fast ipsec tunnels. RouterOS has the ability to connect. But the processor handles 80% of all encrypted traffic. It's clearly not designed for that. It was a deal breaker for me. So I returned it and bought the RB4011 instead, which fixes all of those shortcomings.
