I only bought this kit so my 2001 Chevy 3500 Dually that was lowered with an 8" lowering kit would give me some help with towing a closed car trailer. This kit is not designed for my application but I did don't need 5,000 lb. lifting capacity to do what I need.I was amazed when this kit bolted on with no modifications!I have a 28ft box trailer and tow a 3000lb hot rod in it and use it to Towing.up to 4 snowmobiles.I run 70lbs air for a hot rod and 40lbs for a sled.It works just perfect and still has a nice ride.Just note this kit is rated at 1800lbs.expect not that it works for pulling a giant slide in an RV.IT'S JUST TO GIVE THE TRUCK A LITTLE EXTRA HELP, you still need good springs and plenty of axle travel.
