This knife is really sharp. I'm glad I have long nails to protect my fingertips. I use it every day, even for cutting raw meat, even frozen. I never noticed how dull my other knives were before I got this one. Hand wash is required due to the aluminum handle. WARNING; The dishwasher darkens it. I use an old toothbrush to protect my fingers. She weighs almost nothing; The handle is comfortable, larger than I imagined. The size, shape and sharpness does not strain the fingers, wrist or forearm like my old paring knife. The handle is actually lightly weighted. So if you drop him, he'll land with the hilt first, not the blade. Most of the time it lands on your feet, so that's important. I used to be pierced by falling knives.
