Review on Raybestos DBL 2T Brake Lube Brush by Cesar Hubbard

Revainrating 5 out of 5

So far, so good. Best Brake Silence

SDS says Fuchs 839. It is a PTFE (Teflon) impregnated silicone grease. Raydestos makes brakes, not chemicals. This is very low toxicity compared to many lubricants. Before purchasing, I spoke to Raybestos technical support. They recommend it for all areas that require brake lubrication, including the boot and seal if you're rebuilding calipers like me. I was assured that this would not contaminate the brake fluid or damage the rubber. This is the thickest lube I've ever used. I used it on a new caliper seal and boot, it made them very slippery. On my two-piston front calipers, fitting brake boots and piston grooves tested my patience and expanded my vocabulary. According to Fuchs, this material is NGLI grade 1 or 2. I'll bet it's a 2. It's a wheel bearing grease grade, so it needs to be able to handle high loads, like at the ends of the pads. They also advertise it as an anti-squeak. , for the back of the pads Everything I've ever used has eventually washed out of the exposed areas. It should last as long as everyone else. Have you ever tried washing off silicone grease? If I find places where it performs worse than green stuff I'll update my rating.
