I bought this specifically to monitor the UART output of my DUT during the ESD test. It worked mostly (there were a few USB failures but could be unplugged/replugged to fix the problem) up to 15kV. I did a 15kv test and started getting garbage from the waveshare terminal. My DUT's UART output still works with another UART receiver. Cycling the current did not fix this problem (at 15kV at lower voltages I've seen trips recovering after cycling the current). The description says "lightning protection and anti-electrostatic" but it is obvious that this means nothing. Aside from that critical design flaw, it seemed to work.
